StartDay 1

Register & Find Employer

Welding apprenticeships are available across multiple sectors โ€” construction, marine, industrial, and manufacturing.

Yr 1~1500 hrs

1st Year Apprentice

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), basic joint types, safety, blueprint reading, and metallurgy basics.

Yr 2~3000 hrs

2nd Year

GMAW, GTAW (TIG), flux-core welding. Commercial and structural applications.

Yr 3~4500 hrs

Certificate of Qualification

Final technical training and CofQ exam. Specializations available in pressure welding, pipe welding, and underwater welding.

RedSeal

Interprovincial Red Seal

Canada-wide recognition. Pipeline and industrial employers often require Red Seal for higher-paying contracts.
