Find a Sponsor Employer

Industrial facilities, mills, mines, and LNG plants hire millwright apprentices. Union (IAMAW) and non-union paths both available.

Yr 1~1800 hrs

1st Year Apprentice

Precision measurement, bearings, seals, basic machinery alignment, and rigging. Blueprint and schematic reading.

Yr 2~3600 hrs

2nd Year

Hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and power transmission systems.

Yr 3~5400 hrs

3rd Year

Advanced alignment, vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, and CNC basics.

Yr 4~7200 hrs

Certificate of Qualification

Final technical training and CofQ exam. Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright).
