Find a Sponsor Employer

Register with Skilled Trades BC and secure an HVAC employer. Residential and commercial companies are actively seeking apprentices.

Yr 1~1800 hrs

1st Year Apprentice

Refrigeration basics, ductwork fabrication, tools and safety, electrical fundamentals for HVAC systems.

Yr 2~3600 hrs

2nd Year

Refrigeration systems, heat pumps, commercial cooling, and controls.

Yr 3~5400 hrs

3rd Year

Advanced refrigerants, building automation systems, energy efficiency systems.

Yr 4~7200 hrs

Certificate of Qualification

Final in-school training and CofQ exam. You are now a Journeyperson HVAC/R Technician in BC.

Interprovincial Red Seal

Canada-wide recognition. Valuable for career portability and credibility with employers.
