Find a Sponsor Employer

Dealerships, independent shops, and fleet operators all hire apprentice automotive techs. Entry is accessible โ€” a willingness to learn matters most.

Yr 1~1500 hrs

1st Year Apprentice

Lubrication, basic maintenance, tires, brakes, and tool use. Introduction to diagnostics.

Yr 2~3000 hrs

2nd Year

Engine systems, cooling, fuel systems, and intermediate diagnostics.

Yr 3~4500 hrs

3rd Year

Electrical systems, transmission, and advanced scan tool diagnostics.

Yr 4~6000 hrs

Certificate of Qualification

Final technical training and CofQ exam. Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician.

RedSeal

Interprovincial Red Seal

Canada-wide recognition. Dealers and fleet operators prefer or require Red Seal.
